I must really apologize that I have not posted anything for the past few days, I have been so busy dancing and then when I get back to the hotel I feel so tired and need to rest. But here is my next post on Peterhof, one of the grounds and Palaces designed by Peter the great. He got a lot of his style from the Dutch architecture.
Firstly we had to take the metro to where we were going to catch our boat to get to Peterhof. As you can see, the escalators are so long you can't even see then end... I don't really like taking the metro because there are SO many people and the crowd is way to much for me!
These are some pictures of the Winter Palace that we past along the way to our boat trip.
It was a nice and sunny day, perfect for a boat ride.
Our view from the inside of the boat.

This was one of the ships that were passing by.
Pretty isn't it...
This is myself with the 2 orphan girls Tatiana and Lubar.
This was a foot of a statue that everyone was rubbing, so I rubbed it and asked is it for luck or fortune or something but no one knew, haha...
We were sitting on a bench by one of the gardens. I am with the American girls; Samera, Alexa, Mollie and Julia.
One of the beautiful gold statues.
The one Garden.
Lubar being silly ;). She is quite a character and makes me laugh.
Ok, this is the Palace!!! Beautiful isn't it!!!! Hundreds of years old!
This is one of the old stair cases in one of the buildings as well as one of the lamps.
These next few pictures are of the back of the Palace where there are stunning gardens and a massive fountain!!!
Best friends Lubar and Tatiana (",)
The Palace in the distance...
I really loved going to see Peterhof. Was such a beautiful place to be! I enjoyed being inside the Palace, sorry there are no pictures, but we were not allowed to take any. We had to wear these plastic bags over our shoes. Everything is kept in the most perfect condition. We got to go to many rooms of the Palace and there is gold EVERYWHERE! I can't imagine being able to live there during the 1800's. There are many portraits of the Royal family. I also saw the thrown in which Prince Nicholas sat and he became King went he was about 17 years old. If you would like to go somewhere to learn about the history, go to Russia, there is so much history here it is mind blowing. Just St Petersburg alone is 300 years old!!!
